Potentially Hazardous Asteroid 2014 CU13: 7 Mar. 2014

While waiting for its close approach next 11 Mar., when it will be at 3 millions of km from us, at Virtual Telescope we had a second look at the potentially hazardous asteroid 2014 CU13.

The Planewave 17 robotic unit tracked this 180-meters large asteroid in its apparent motion, so stars are showing as trails, while 2014 CU13 is a sharp dot in the center of the image.

Above is the average of 2, 90-seconds exposures. We will show this asteroid live, online, next 9 Mar. 2014.
