The image above shows a simulated view of the upcoming 20 March 2015 solar eclipse as seen from Rome, Italy. Below, a video of the eclipse is provided, too. The center of the video is the location of the Vernal point, so it is obvious how this eclipse happens when the Sun is just crossing the celestial equator, marking the start of the spring for the northern hemispere.


The Virtual Telescope Project will cover it live, sharing the event in real-time with the world, via its web TV.
