Near-Earth Asteroid 2022 ES3 very close encounter: online observation – 13 Mar. 2022

Next 13 Mar. 2022, the near-Earth Asteroid 2022 ES3 will have a very close, but safe, encounter with us, coming at about 334.000 km from the Earth, 87% of the average lunar distance. The Virtual Telescope Project will show it to you live!

The near-Earth asteroid 2022 ES3 was discovered from the Kitt Peak Observatory (Arizona) on 7 Mar. 2022 and announced the same day It has an estimated diameter in the range 10 – 22 meters (source: Nasa/JPL).

The Virtual Telescope Project will show it live, online, just at the fly-by time. This way, you can join the journey from the comfort of your home.
