Comet C/2011 R1 McNaught: 13 May 2013
The Virtual Telescope visited comet C/2011 R1 McNaught, a nice object which reached mag 7 last April. It is still a nice view in the northern Spring skies, as the picture above clear shows.
It was taken remotely using the 17″ robotic unit part of the Virtual Telescope Project.
