Comet C/2015 F3 Swan: an image (2 May 2015)
Despite the severe, unfavorable conditions (cirri all around and extremely bright full Moon), we decided to image comet C/2015 F3 Swan again
The image above comes from the average of twelve, 120-seconds exposures, unfiltered, remotely collected with the PlaneWave 17″+Paramount ME+SBIG STL-6303E robotic unit part of the Virtual Telescope Project. No matter the bad atmospheric conditions, an hint for a central condensation is still there. More observations will follow, hopefully under better skies.
