Possible supernova PSN J19535968+4956078 in UGC 11494: an image (13 June 2015)
The possible supernova PSN J19535968+4956078 in UGC 11494 was imaged as part of the Virtual Telescope’s supernova follow-up program.
The image above comes from the average of four, 180-seconds exposures, unfiltered, remotely collected with the PlaneWave 17″+Paramount ME+SBIG STL-6303E robotic unit part of the Virtual Telescope Project. The possible supernova was estimated at mag. 19.0 (R mags for the reference stars from UCAC-4). The transient was imaged while clouds were in its direction.
