Comet 13P/Olbers: a new image – 6 Sept. 2024
We imaged comet 13P/Olbers again, under good sky conditions and we share our picture here.
The image above comes from the sigma clipping combination of 16, 120-second unfiltered exposures, taken with the ARTEC250+Paramount ME+C3Pro61000EC robotic unit available as part of the Virtual Telescope Project facility in Manciano, Italy. The telescope tracked the object while imaging.
Comet 13P/Olbers was at 20 deg. above the western horizon, in the sunset twilight.
