Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS: new image – 4 Nov. 2024
We continue monitoring comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS, so here it is a new image showing details of its ion tail.
The image above comes from the sigma clipping combination of 6, 120-second exposures, remotely taken with the ARTEC250+Paramount ME+C3Pro61000EC robotic unit available as part of the Virtual Telescope Project facility in Manciano, Italy, under the darkest skies of the Italian peninsula. The telescope tracked at the motion rates of the comet.
We will continue monitoring this comet, despite the weather is not cooperating at all.
