Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS: new image – 24 Nov. 2024

We continue our follow-up observation of comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS, constantly fading but still offering a remarkable view.

The image above comes from the sigma clipping combination of 5, 120-second exposures, remotely taken with the ARTEC250+Paramount ME+C3Pro61000EC robotic unit available as part of the Virtual Telescope Project facility in Manciano, Italy, under the darkest skies of the Italian peninsula (SQM=21.5). The telescope tracked at the motion rates of the comet.

Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS continues to cross a very dense region of stars and dust, in Aquila.

We will continue monitoring C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS as long as possible.
