Interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS (aka C/2025 N1 ATLAS): a new image – 11 Jan. 2026
We imaged the interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS (aka C/2025 N1 ATLAS) again, while it slowly fades and leaves our cosmic neighborhood.
The image above comes from the sigma-clipping combination of 9, 120-second exposures, remotely taken with the Celestron C14+Paramount ME+SBIG ST-10XME robotic unit available as part of the Virtual Telescope Project facility in Manciano, Italy.
3I/ATLAS is slowly fading, while it recedes from its perihelion.
We will continue to monitor this exceptional object. See all our images of 3I/ATLAS here!
