Interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS (aka C/2025 N1 ATLAS): a new image – 15 Feb. 2026

We imaged the interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS (aka C/2025 N1 ATLAS) again, now that it faded significantly since our previous visit, last month.

The image above comes from the sigma-clipping combination of 10, 120-second exposures, remotely taken with the Celestron C14+Paramount ME+SBIG ST-10XME robotic unit available as part of the Virtual Telescope Project facility in Manciano, Italy.

3I/ATLAS has faded significantly, while it recedes from its perihelion. We will keep an eye on this unique interstellar visitor while it will be within our observing capabilities.
