Comet C/2013 A1 Siding Spring: 09 June 2015

This time, against hour habit with this object, we did not wait for several weeks before looking again at comet  C/2013 A1 Siding Spring. We always remind you that this comet made history last Ocober, when it approached planet Mars within a very short, record distance.

The image above comes from the average of six, 180-seconds exposures, unfiltered, remotely collected with the  PlaneWave 17″+Paramount ME+SBIG STL-6303E robotic unit part of the Virtual Telescope Project. The telescope tracked the target during imaging. The comet looks very nice and bright, so we plan further observations in the next weeks.
