The Moon, Venus and Jupiter: 20 June 2015

Last evening, soon after sunset, there was a very special sight looking west. A very young, crescent Moon was hanging above the horizon with a couple of amazing companions: planets Venus and Jupiter were there, too, making the vision breathtaking. From time to time, these three celestial wonders share the same part of the sky.

The image above was captured from Villa Tornonia in Rome, where some threes beautifully framed that cosmic meeting.
