Comet C/2013 X1 PanSTARRS: an image (2 Nov. 2015)
We recently imaged comet C/2013 X1 PanSTARRS, having its perihelion next April 2016. This comet was recently reported to have increased its brightness.
The image above comes from the average of 15, 120-seconds exposures, unfiltered, remotely collected with the PlaneWave 17″+Paramount ME+SBIG STL-6303E robotic unit part of the Virtual Telescope Project. The telescope tracked the target during imaging. We plan further observations in the next weeks.
