Supernova SN 2021dch in ASK 510442.0 galaxy: an image – 10 Mar. 2021
We observed supernova SN 2021dch in the galaxy ASK 510442.0, as part of our supernova follow-up program: here it is our image.
The image above comes from the average of five, 120-seconds exposures, unfiltered, remotely taken with the “Elena” (PlaneWave 17″+Paramount ME+SBIG STL-6303E) robotic unit available as part of the Virtual Telescope Project. The supernova is indicated by an arrow in the upper left inset.
The host galaxy is ASK 510442.0 and is likely at 270 millions of light years from us. This transient was discovered on 16 Feb. 20210 by the and it is a type Ia supernova.
Further observations will follow, weather permitting.
