We continue our observations of the bright supernova SN 2023ixf in Messier 101 and are pleased to share here our latest image.

The image above comes from the average of seven, 180-second, unguided exposures, unfiltered, remotely taken with the Celestron C14+Paramount ME+SBIG ST8-XME robotic unit available as part of the Virtual Telescope Project. The supernova is indicated by an arrow in the upper left inset. The seeing was good, so image resolution is outstanding.
We estimated SN 2023ixf as bright as mag. 10.9 (R-mags for the reference stars from the Gaia DR2 star catalogue): this transient is still close to its maximum of light, about 20 days after the explosion.
