Comet C/2015 F3 Swan: an image (30 Apr. 2015)
After our first observation, we decided to image comet C/2015 F3 Swan again, despite the amazingly bright Moon and high cirrus in the sky.
The image above comes from the average of twelve, 120-seconds exposures, unfiltered, remotely collected with the PlaneWave 17″+Paramount ME+SBIG STL-6303E robotic unit part of the Virtual Telescope Project. We plan to monitor this comet again soon, especially once the Moon will no longer be a issue.
The comet is the pale, fuzzy object at the center, while the other two nebulous one on its right are two galaxies.
