The 31 Aug. 2023 Blue Supermoon: the largest full Moon of the year – online observation

Next 31 Aug., the Supermoon will be back for the third time this year, but with two amazing bonuses: it will be the largest full Moon of 2023 and will be a so-called “Blue Moon”, the 2nd full Moon of a given month. We will show it live, online, while it sets below the legendary skyline of Rome.

Next 31 Aug 2023, we will welcome the 3rd Supermoon in a row this year kindly offered us. But this one will be the largest of the year: our satellite will be at its minimum distance from the Earth about 10 hours earlier. The resulting full Moon will be the closest and brightest of the year. Furthermore, this is the 2nd full Moon of August, so it is also called “Blue Moon”,

We will admire our satellite setting below the skyline of Rome, the Eternal City, hanging above its legendary monuments.
