Comets C/2025 A6 Lemmon & C/2025 R2 SWAN at their closest approach to Earth – online observation (20 Oct. 2025)
Next 20-21 October, both the amazing comets C/2025 A6 Lemmon and C/2025 R2 SWAN will be at their minimum distance from our Earth. It will be a unique opportunity to admire their beauty and the Virtual Telescope Project will show them live, online!
Having two bright and stunning comets visible at the same time up there is quite rare: we will share line, online, both C/2025 A6 Lemmon and C/2025 R2 SWAN when they will be at their minimum distance from the Earth (at 90 and 39 million of km from us, respectively), likely peaking in brightness, offering their best show.
