Where is comet C/2012 S1 (Ison): path across the stars
Comet C/2012 S1 (Ison) has reasonable chances to become a great comet late in 2013 / early in 2014. The map above shows its path across the stars from 1 Nov. 2013 to 11 Jan. 2014, day after day.
The video below, covering the same time span, shows the comet path against the Sun, this making more evident the real, observing conditions.
