Supernova SN 2017eaw in NGC 6946: online observing session (16 June 2017)
Last month, the bright supernova SN 2017eaw was discovered in the wonderful spiral galaxy NGC 6946, nicknamed “Fireworks”, holding the record of supernova explosions: ten events in exactly 100 years. Next 16 June, starting at 09:30 UT, we will show this stunning explosion live, online, for free!

For this live experience we will use the amazing telescope we have in exclusive use in Arizona. With this real-time, cosmic journey we officially present our partnership with Tenagra Observatories, kindly making available its venerable 16″ robotic unit to the Virtual Telescope on exclusive basis.
