Geminids 2017 meteor shower: online observation – 13 & 14 Dec. 2017.

Next 13-14 Dec., the Geminids 2017 meteor shower will peak under good sky conditions, likely being the most spectacular meteor shower of this year (after the Perseids show was ruined by the Moon, last Aug.). We will show this show live, both from Italy and the USA: join us online, from the comfort of your home!

Geminids 2017 Meteor Shower: online observation

At Virtual Telescope we will broadcast the Geminids 2017 meteor shower live, online, for free. Thanks to our partnership with Tenagra Observatories, we will offer two online observing sessions, using our all-sky cameras in Italy and Arizona, USA, to show any potential meteor they capture. All this with the live commentary of astrophysicist Gianluca Masi.

The two online, free sessions to see the Geminids 2017 meteor shower are scheduled as follows:

  • live view from Italy: 13 Dec. 2017, starting at 22:00 UT;
  • live view from Arizona: 14 Dec. 2017, starting at 10:00 UT.

To join, you just need to enter, at the date and time above, our webTV page here!
