The Moon meets the Pleiades: online observation – 22 Apr. 2023
Next 22 April, a sharp crescent Moon will shine about 4 degrees from the Pleiades, one of the most beautiful star clusters in the sky. We will share the show live, online: join us from the comfort of your home.
The Moon will be just 2.5 days old, so it will show a very spectacular sharp crescent, with a marvelous Earthshine. The Pleiades will be gently shining 4 degrees away, adding their elegance to the show.
The Virtual Telescope Project will bring to you this beautiful meeting, sharing the view in real-time from Italy.
The online, free session is scheduled for 22 Apr. 2023, starting at 19:00 UT.
In case of bad weather, the event will be cancelled.
