The Moon, Jupiter and Aldebaran: 8 Sept. 2012

Early on 8 Sept. 2012, the Moon was meeting a few very beautiful objects, like Jupiter and the bright, orange star Aldebaran. All around the Iades, the well-known open cluster in Taurus. It was a very beautiful sight to spot by naked eye, well visible from the cities, too.

This image was obtained from Rome by Gianluca Masi, Virtual Telescope Project, using a 80/3.5 lens.
