Happy 70th Birthday, Brian May, with your (52665) Brianmay asteroid!

Today, Brian May, more than a legend for many of us, celebrates its 70th Birthday. Founder and guitarist of the epic rock band Queen, Brian also attained a PhD in Astrophysicist and co-founded Asteroid Day in 2014.

We want to wish him a very Happy Birthday and thank him for all he did to make this planet a better world. The image above, showing its asteroid again, is a way for the Virtual Telescope to wish him the very best!

Last September, we observed the asteroid (52665) Brianmay, named after him by the International Astronomical Union, and Brian was very happy top see the image, as from the picture below.
